How are you Miss Alpha , can you briefly tell us about yourself ?

It's a pleasure to be here! I'm doing great, thanks for having me. My name is Alpha Bero, and I'm a passionate actress based in Harare. With a love for acting that started in grade 7 .

What inspired you to become an actress?

I firmly believe that storytelling has the transformative power to uplift, inspire, and educate, with the profound ability to heal and connect us on a deeper level.

What's your favorite genre to work in (e.g., drama, comedy, action)?

I love working on dramas

Can you outline the projects you have worked on and which one do you think was the best ?

I have worked on many projects, and i can not name them all. But here it the list of some of the projects i featured in

And its hard to pick which i can the best because all are good  but i can say "Harare Huchi" is the best

Who are your biggest influences in the industry?

I draw immense inspiration from two powerhouse women in the industry: Madam Boss and Lorraine Guyo. Their trailblazing work, unwavering dedication, and unrelenting passion have not only paved the way for me but also continue to fuel my own creative journey.

What are your future plans in the acting Industry ?.

As I continue to grow in my craft, I eagerly look forward to expanding my horizons in film and television, and with hope to start my own projects

How do you balance your personal and professional life?

I do that by prioritizing my time, creating a schedule, taking care of myself, and setting realistic personal goals.

What do you think is the most common challenge facing actresses today?

As a lady, pursuing an acting career comes with challenges such as financial struggles, emotional burnout, and opportunity costs. Starting out means significant upfront costs, uncertain income, and potentially draining side jobs. You might face rejection, comparison, and pressure from others can take a toll on mental health. Moreover, the industry's unpredictability means risking years of hard work without guaranteed success, leaving actresses wondering if they're missing out on other life opportunities.

Which actors, actresses, or directors would you wish to collaborate with and why ?

I wish to collaborate with madam boss because she has been my role model and also Madam Boss always understands her tasks and executes her duties to perfection.

What advice would you give to aspiring actresses?

To young actors and actresses, I offer this advice: Focus on building a strong foundation in acting techniques like emotional recall, improvisation, and script analysis. Practice consistently through local productions, student films, or classes. Network and make industry connections, and be persistent despite rejection. Maintain a positive attitude, continually improve your craft, and take care of your physical and mental well-being. By doing so, you'll be better equipped to navigate the competitive acting world and perform at your best.

What do you think should be done to improve the acting industry in Zimbabwe?

To boost the acting industry, investments are needed in arts and culture, including funding for infrastructure, equipment, and production costs. Establishing more acting schools and workshops and partnering with international institutions can provide professional training and expertise. Supporting local productions, developing distribution platforms, and building industry networks can create opportunities and facilitate collaboration. Favorable government policies, such as tax breaks and grants and improved infrastructure, like modern production facilities, are also crucial. These initiatives can help create a thriving environment for actors to develop and succeed.
